Areas of Specialization
For nearly 25 years, Bob has guided business owners and managers in the planning and execution of office, retail and industrial facilities expansion and relocation. A recognized expert and frequent speaker at seminars and to professional organizations and trade associations, his "12 Steps to Smarter Growth" program has been employed by numerous firms to more successfully facilitate their gowth and expansion requirements. A Green Advantage Certified Practitioner, he counsels and provides direction to management in renovating existing facilities or in planning and executing new construction to meet the LEED "Green" standards of the United State Green Building Council.
Professional Experience
Bob began his career with Hines, concentrating on the leasing and marketing of Pillsbury Center in Minneapolis. From there, Bob moved with Hines to Columbus, Ohio, coordinating a major commercial office headquarters for the Huntington National Bank. While in Columbus, Bob also directed Hines corporate real estate consulting efforts to institutional and corporate clients throughout the Midwest. He has also directed commercial office predevelopment efforts for IBM Corporation with Maguire Thomas Partners of Los Angeles and for IDS American Express with The Landmark Group of Atlanta. Bob has been involved in the development, construction, and leasing of more than 10 million square feet and has worked directly with major banks in the development and construction of their headquarters buildings.
Education and Affiliations
Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University, majoring in political science and history. He is a current member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR), and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
Personal Interests
Bob is a father of four, and a former teaching leader of BSF International. He and his family enjoy outdoor activities and spending time together.
