Areas of Specialization
Fred’s primary role is to help his clients to understand real estate market trends and act upon them to successfully satisfy their requirements. During his years in the industry he has observed cycles, appreciated their impact and identified where the value will be in the long term.

With a strong financial background and the experience of negotiating hundreds of transactions, Fred has the savvy to analyze any transaction from the position of either party. He has been involved in land sales, leasing and development of business parks and buildings throughout the Twin Cities.

Professional Experience
Fred began his business career in 1971 after graduating from Luther College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and majors in Accounting, Business Administration and Economics. He was hired by Arthur Andersen & Company as an Accountant and later joined his family’s business, Hedberg & Sons Company, as a Vice President.

In 1983, Fred joined Welsh Companies focusing on the sale and leasing of office and industrial properties and land. He also represented corporate clients in the acquisition and disposition of properties throughout the world.

Along with his partner, Phil Simonet, Fred founded Paramount Real Estate Corporation in 1996. Their on-going professional philosophy of honesty and integrity has formed their excellent reputation and is an integral characteristic of each employee at Paramount.

Education and Affiliations
Fred maintains several professional affiliations, including memberships in the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the Minneapolis Board of Realtors and the Organization of Commercial Realtors. In 1993, he earned the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. In 2001 Fred became a member of SIOR, a select group of successful brokers dedicated to professionalism and ethical business practices. He was named Commercial Realtor of the Year for 2002 in recognition of his dedication, service, distinguished professionalism and outstanding contribution to the industry. In 2009 and 2010, Fred was recognized by an independent survey of Twin Cities business people as part of a select group of commercial real estate brokers to earn the “Five Star – Best in Client Satisfaction” designation. Fred is also a founding Director of Key Community Bank in Inver Grove Heights.

Personal Interests
Fred is an active husband and father of five. He is a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities and currently resides in Eden Prairie. Fred and his family enjoy Nordic skiing, fishing, traveling and spending time together at their cabin in northern Minnesota.
