Nearly 15 years of experience in real estate development and consulting give John the skills necessary to analyze market information and structure purchase agreements or leases to fit each client's needs. Well versed in accounting and finance, John can easily analyze complex transactions and help clients understand the financial impact of different real estate solutions.
Professional Experience
John began his career as an accountant for ConAgra in Omaha, NE. After several years of honing his accounting skills, he moved to the Twin Cities and joined the staff of a community development corporation where he leased and managed
commercial property and made small business loans for working capital and real estate projects.
In 1996, John joined the Saint Paul Port Authority where he provided real estate services such as buy vs. lease decisions, site searches, lease and sale negotiations, and strategic real estate planning for industrial companies. He was also responsible for the redevelopment of three industrial business parks totaling over 75 acres and approximately $50 million in project costs.
Education and Affiliations
John is a licensed real estate broker and has an accounting degree from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. He is a member of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors and is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional with the National Development Council.
